After Laney was born, Kayla wasn’t sure if it was in the cards to have another baby. But she knew for sure, she wanted to be in better shape, than she was when she was pregnant for Laney.
Bike, dumbell, squats, walking….Kayla does it all! She also keeps close eye on her nutrition. As a rep for Advocare, a nurse at Bluffton hospital, and her mom owning the gym, Fit For Life, Kayla has been successful in having a healthy pregnancy. Baby Brooks is due in early June.
When you give a little one permission to play with the fancy dishes, she will want to get every since dish out. Laney was certain, her tea party would not be complete until she had nearly every cup and saucer on the table.
Mommy, Daddy, and Dolly joined the party. And as Laney pretended to poured each of them a cup of tea, she made ‘sssshhh’ sounds. Too cute!
Laney was the perfect tea and crumpets party host!
As the photography laid quiet for a long time, I had grown scared of being overwhelmed by it. I also grew scared to go it alone as Jennifer had become one kick ass partner in crime. And although I hate not having her by my side, I have accomplished two session this week without her.
I am working hard to find back my creativity. I am relying on staring at image after image I find online and in magazines. I am looking at things that had inspired me prior to Jen getting sick. And for new ideas that will unleash my brain.
Monday, it was my surroundings, an adorable little lady who wore clothes to die for. Yesterday, the wind, hair, and a skirt on a new mommy who looks fantastic having given birth so recently. As i watch the weather, hoping for a light rain to work in, I hope for even more creativity. Kids splashing in puddles and someone willing to play in the rain is not out of the question for me and my camera.
I have stories to tell through my camera again. And I am hoping to find many who will allow me to get my business launched again and tell their story. Hopefully in time, Jen can join me again. … but until then it is just me, my camera, and hopefully some creativity. I need you to hire me. Not only for financial reasons, but for my love of camera and my need to be creative again.
I am finding back my zing!
The last time I took Avery’s pictures was February 2017.
And boy has she grown a ton.
She loves to sing with her mommy “Let It Go” and “Girl On Fire.” And she keeps herself moving so much, I find I have a hard time keeping up.
Thank you Beining Nursery & Landscaping for allowing us to taking pictures at your beautiful location. And Bailey’s Blossoms for the flowered skirt and red and black plaid dress.
On November 13, 2016, I made my last post on my blog. Two days prior, my daughter Jennifer was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and she spent much of the rest of 2016 and several weeks of 2017 in the hospital. In March, she had a bone marrow transplant. It has been a long process but slowly she is getting better. And as she gets stronger, I will be able to work more hours again. For now, I am being selective in how many jobs I take each month so I can continue to care for her and keep up. Hopefully by January, I will be back full time once again.
I am currently however accepting weddings for Summer/Fall 2018. I also am accepting lifestyle and birth sessions. Contact me for more information.
With the Holidays approaching, many will be baking up their holiday treats with their family! I recall when my children were small and we baked and decorated cookies together in the days following Thanksgiving. Sometimes I think more cookie dough ended up on the floor and in our tummies than in the oven. Those times sure go by fast and I wish I had more pictures of those wonderful times together.
Whether you are spending the holidays baking with your children, picking out a Christmas tree, or even gathered all at grandma’s decorating, let So The Story Goes Photography capture those precious moments for you.
10 Days prior, this field was in full bloom. A trip back yesterday after going to the Extravaganza Flea Market in Springfield, we found the flowers no longer full of beautiful yellow petals. Despite the flowers dying off, we got some beautiful images.
When in the area, also be sure to check out Young’s Jersey Dairy.
